Antelope Canyon is remarkable. Antelope Canyon in Page, Arizona, is a slot canyon known for its smooth, rock walls that are a beautiful red-brown and the play of light in the space. There are two parts, Upper Antelope Canyon, which is more popular, and Lower Antelope Canyon. The Upper Canyon is located on Navajo lands and was formed over time due to erosion. The rock walls are made of Navajo sandstone. During the day, the light shines through the spaces in the rock, illuminating the canyon in a magical way. In fact, both Antelope Canyons were formed because of flash floods. The light that streams through the crack at the top is also affected by the time of year, making for a constantly-changing landscape.
