Here are five must-do resolutions to help you start 2025 on the right foot by Duchess DJ Love: Author, Blogger, Caregiver, Frequent Flyer, World Traveler, Influencer, Digital Creator, Mentor, Photographer, and Podcaster.

Welcome to 2025, a year of new beginnings and possibilities. This year, I challenge you to step out of your comfort zone, to try new things, and to pursue your dreams. You have the power to create your own destiny. Are you ready for a fresh start?
This blog provides a comprehensive guide for setting achievable New Year’s resolutions and emphasizes the importance of self-care, financial management, skill development, and travel experiences. Let’s dive into the top 5 New Year’s resolutions.
Top 5 New Year’s Resolutions

Get in shape and stay healthy
Number 1: Get in shape and stay healthy. This year, prioritize your physical well-being. My daily routine includes a 5 minute warm-up and a hot concoction to flush out toxins. Also, I take a multivitamin, add olive oil to as many dishes as I can, sleep at least 6 hours a night, more when possible and I like naps.
Prioritizing your physical health can improve your overall well-being. Incorporate regular exercise into your routine, eat a balanced diet, and ensure you’re getting enough sleep. Remember, consistency is key to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

$ave money and budget wisely
Number 2: Save money and budget wisely. Take control of your finances for a more stable future. For me, I maintain a stable, reliable income source, generate passive income streams, pay my bills timely, and minimize debt. I have several books regarding make your money work for you, money mindset, and debt-free strategies. Click to learn more about my books and my story.
Financial health is crucial for peace of mind and future security. Start by setting clear financial goals, creating a realistic budget, and tracking your expenses. Small adjustments like cutting unnecessary costs and increasing savings can make a significant impact over time. Another thing I do is live way below my means. For example, my salary is 100K a year, then my lifestyle is managed on about 60K, 20K goes into savings and 401K.

Learn a new skill or hobby
Number 3: Learn a new skill or hobby. Expand your knowledge and discover hidden talents. My favorite thing to do to expand my insight is to read. I read a book a week typically. Also, since founding Gallivanting Like A Royal, my skills continually increase as I am constantly learning new social media tips, blogging tools, and marketing concepts. Last year, by creating reels and videos for my blog and channel, I realized that I had a talent for content creation and thoroughly enjoy it.
Embrace lifelong learning by picking up a new skill or hobby. Whether it’s learning a new language, taking up photography, or mastering a musical instrument, engaging in new activities can be both fulfilling and enriching. Another pro of learning something new is it reduces the change of getting Alzheimer or Dementia.

Travel more and explore new destinations
Number 4: Travel more and explore new destinations. Make it a year of exciting adventures and unforgettable experiences. For me, I pay my bills on a credit card that rewards me with free travel. I use apps like Hopper and Google Flights to find the best deals. Also I plan in advance and set aside money each month just for my travel allowance. My books below can help you too. Scroll to bottom of this post for details.
Broaden your horizons by planning trips to new destinations. Whether it’s a weekend getaway or an international adventure, traveling allows you to experience different cultures, meet new people, and create unforgettable memories.

Prioritize self-care and mental health
Number 5: Prioritize self-care and mental health. Take time to relax, unwind, and focus on your overall well-being. I’m all about self-love and self-care. If I don’t take care of me, then who will be the caregiver to my elderly parents. I enjoy a bubble bath with affirmation music at least once a week. I take a walk outside when stressed. Something about being outdoors eases my anxiety. My top tip is to drink purified water. Traveling can reduce stress and improve your mental wellbeing.
Taking care of your mental health is just as important as physical health. Make self-care a priority by setting aside time for activities that relax and rejuvenate you, whether it’s reading, meditating, or spending time with loved ones. Remember to seek professional help if needed.
